All athletic facility doors will now remain locked during the school day to prevent "unauthorized traffic." "It is important that our students feel safe, and we will continue to implement measures providing additional safety and security for all students," Taber says in the post.

Ibarra was the 10th student from La Vernia High School arrested in the scandal, which involved the school's football, baseball and basketball teams.

Alejandro Ibarra, 18, took to Facebook Wednesday, March 29, 2017, to defend two of his "brothers" who were arrested in the widespread sexual assault scandal that has stunned the community of La Vernia.

Later that day, Ibarra was arrested in connection with the case.
