The OAB is the collection of all user objects compiled into a set of files that the Outlook client uses as it’s Global Address List.
It can take up to 24 hours for updates to became available in Outlook or for users to see the Global Address List after they install GSSMO.
To ensure that the Global Address List is made available to GSSMO users, you need to enable contact sharing in your Google Admin console.
Outlook clients on other machines do have a complete GAL including all newly-created users.
After completing this tutorial you will have configured Microsoft Outlook to always reference the latest version of the global address book directly from the email server rather than referencing a downloaded local copy. After following these steps, you will only be able to access the global address book while Outlook is connected to the server.
